Kaitlin Cabbage Start

Kaitlin is a cultivar that was specifically designed with sauerkraut in mind.  They have huge, pale green heads that can keep growing all the way until October.  My biggest Kaitlins have been 10” to a foot in diameter.  The heart is pale whitish green very dense.  I grow three Kaitlin cabbages each year for the sole purpose of making sauerkraut.

94 days.  Late season cabbage.  Cold hardy.  Plant mid April when ground is workable.  Protect seedlings from frost until established.
